I have been reliably informed by the head gardener at Bishop's Park that he heard a curlew calling from the Tywi valley side of the Bishop's Pond on the 26th.

Siskin c. 30
Woodcock flushed in woodland. Goosanders on Afon Doethie by Rhyd y Groes cottage. Siskin flock feeding on alder cones/seeds on track up to Rhyd y Groes.

A red Kite flew over and there were 2 magpies.

All seen during a 1.5 hour walk that included the great meadow. The cetti's was heard at the far end of the meadow behind the church. A lovely surprise. The tit species were surprisingly quiet.
