The next Carms Bird Club meeting is Tue 11th Dec at WWT Penclacwydd starting at 7pm. Barry Stewart will talk about “35 years Birding the Burry Inlet”. Tea/coffee and biscuits available at £1.20 per head (free refills). Prizes for raffle would be appreciated.

Again, close to the canal, a male Hen Harrier flew past, heading for the Quay. After a while it returned with a close fly-by. And (for the plane enthusiasts) a big military transport (Airbus A400M Atlas), made repeated landings and take-offs from the sands just beyond Pembrey forest, just as it did yesterday. On one approach, some distance away, it put up a massive, countless number of Golden Plovers.
