Also good views of otter feeding at edge of incoming tide. This area has been so much better this season without sheep on the marsh, although sadly the damaged sea purslane is still very evident.

we already have one permanent resident near the Towy in the valley for some years. Now joined by growing number of (I think) the same species but today being harassed by gulls and herons post slurry spreading (!).

post- breeding dispersal?  A pair attempted to breed in the Tywi valley about 20 years ago but lost 2 clutches due to flooding and later gravel extraction. What was noticeable then is how they chased off any corvid in the area – indirectly
help safeguard LRP and sandpiper nests. fwiw.
