7 singing Chiffchaffs in Millennium Coastal Park woodland E of Burry Port (SN 45-00-). All singing at different locations. Also one heard singing as my car (stuck in <20mph convoy!) passed the ex Pwll fishing lake; finally one other in woodland at E end of Stradey Woods.

Over 300 gulls were circling above the High St. in two groups too high for me to distinguish one large gull species from another, and there were another 100+ in flooded fields down river of the bridge. A mix of herring and black headed.

post- breeding dispersal?  A pair attempted to breed in the Tywi valley about 20 years ago but lost 2 clutches due to flooding and later gravel extraction. What was noticeable then is how they chased off any corvid in the area – indirectly
help safeguard LRP and sandpiper nests. fwiw.
