MOD road driving back from the Ginst, 3 Buzzards circling, several small Linnet flocks and 2 Yellowhammers just outside the MOD flying along the hedge.

Two territorial singing male Stock Doves in separate areas of old beeches.
No sign of the main target of my visit – a seemingly hopeless attempt to look/listen for Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers. Found a GS wdpkr nest, though.
