Probably more Swallows and Swifts but these were counted. I usually only see 3/4 Swallows and no Swifts, but all circling above the car park. B-H Gulls returned last week and present again. Buzzard circling over Sir John's Hill.

Just a reminder of the club meeting to Pembrey Burrows LNR on Saturday 13th July. A morning butterfly and flower walk led by Paul Aubrey. Meet at fisherman's car park at the end of tarmac track at 9.30am. Finish by 12.30pm

With Colin Dalton.
Colour-ringed Blue T45H, ringed in Poland which I first saw 3 or 4 years ago and subsequently every July at the Quay and on the same patch of riverside mud. Full ringing details to follow.
Also, two colour-ringed Curlews, with 100 or so other Curlews. Will try to get ringing details.

 Colour-ringed White TAMU, ringed May 2010 as an adult with nestlings in Poland. Seen back at the Polish colony in May 2011 and May 2019 and at Kidwelly Quay by Colin Dalton in Jan.2019.

To update a previous posting of fledged barn owls from owl box the number is now 6. This is the highest number we have had in any breeding season since the owl box was put up 11 years ago. I would be very interested to hear of fledged numbers elsewhere in Carmarthenshire.
