Wood Sandpiper 1
Blackbird 1
From Boardwalk hide the best views we have ever had of a Wood Sand. Near the hide and skulking in the path-side undergrowth was a female Blackbird with a broad, white eye-ring around both eyes. Very strange.

Nightjar 1
Female or juvenile as no white patches and no churring heard. From the size we think it was a juvenile. Continuous “cluck cluck” call while in flight. Circled us closely several times, occasionally landing on top of trees.

To update a previous posting of fledged barn owls from owl box the number is now 6. This is the highest number we have had in any breeding season since the owl box was put up 11 years ago. I would be very interested to hear of fledged numbers elsewhere in Carmarthenshire.
