Blackbird 1
On 14th we reported a Blackbird near Boardwalk hide with broad white eye-rings In dense vegetation and so was impossible to photograph. Interestingly, on Devon Bird Sightings (Jill is down there for a week) a posting on 17th August shows a Dunnock with the same abnormality.

Apologies for the late report. The curlew sandpiper and dunlin was spotted in front of the hide by another birdwatcher first. The dunlin was in breeding plumage. I didn't get his name. We didn't see the spotted redshank.

There was no sign of the wood sandpiper at the lagoon, but I was told that it was there around 1pm.
