| On 14th we reported a Blackbird near Boardwalk hide with broad white eye-rings In dense vegetation and so was impossible to photograph. Interestingly, on Devon Bird Sightings (Jill is down there for a week) a posting on 17th August shows a Dunnock with the same abnormality. |

| Apologies for the late report. The curlew sandpiper and dunlin was spotted in front of the hide by another birdwatcher first. The dunlin was in breeding plumage. I didn't get his name. We didn't see the spotted redshank.
There was no sign of the wood sandpiper at the lagoon, but I was told that it was there around 1pm. |
