High tide, and most waders have gone further up river. However, a rough count of around 120 Dunlin grabbed a little “island” in the tide, and Lapwing were chased by Peregrine.

Common Gull c. 2000
Huge numbers of Common Gull flying north along the beach and sitting on the sea, but not much return for getting up before dawn and freezing on the dunes. Still Fieldfares on the football field and 2 snipe in wet pasture.

Cuckoo heard calling deep in Sir John's Hill wood, Shelduck flew from Ginst Point area up the Corran River and returned without landing.
