| Hawfinch around the site entrance again this morning. Finally got Water Pipit on my patch year list, it was feeding on the wet area on the far side of the NRA scrapes, smart bird. |

| Hawfinch at the site entrance at 8.10am. male and female Merlin on the saltmarsh. Very odd looking 2nd winter YLG in the evening roost (pics available on the Western Palearctic Gulls facebook page). |
