| On the mud about two hundred yards down river from Kidwelly Quay and on the southerly bank. One was on carrion and feeding vigorously. Its congener was presumably waiting to feed second. One or both were giving the customary crying call from the ground. |

| 1st and 2nd winter’s in amongst c.3000 large gulls in the roost this evening. Fantastic to see so many birds using the wet grassland on the far side of the NRA scrapes recently, it’s amazing what a bit of water can do. |
