  All the birds where seen from the gate to the farm house.All the Blackbirds where males and all feeding in the same spot the Redwings where in the same spot as yesterday and looked like they where roosting on the ground and the Lapwing was standing in the middle of the yard when i got down to the house

  Very large visible migration of Winter thrushes moving east, including lots of birds over the sea, along the beach and along the dunes. Lots of birds touched down on the dunes.

  Fieldfares and a mistle thrush have now joined the redwings feasting on holly berries. In most winters, the opulent crop is hardly eaten, so I`m glad that it`s feeding the birds in this severe weather.
