  Goosander were two pairs. The mallard were in two groups downriver with a singleton upriver from the bridge. The Oystercatcher was in the field immediately to the left of the river and in the field next to the road. The Whooper swans and the geese were two fields upriver from the road, best seen from the footpath about 50 yards south of the bridge. There were more swans but I couldn’t ID them properly due to the hedge and trees.

  The G.W Egret, ducks, 2 adult swans, their 4 juveniles and goldcrest were seen from the hide overlooking the mostly frozen Dinefwr ponds. The egret was in the furthest pond. All the other birds were spread around the park. The fieldfares and the vast majority of the redwings were seen in the field on the way up to the castle heading south from the car park.

  Golden Plovers from 10.15 some still there at 3.45. at least 50 at one point on the football pitch initially with Lapwing. Snipe on the first field over from the railway line.
