  Flying around my old junior school, Old Road, just as I remember them many years ago. The replacement of old Victorian schools by new builds is seriously depleting this species. Nest site provision should be a condition of planning by Carms CC.

  2nd visit by female this week, hope she doesn’t deplete my sparrows. Last Saturday she sat on the bird table glaring at me!

  At least 2 males churring, one seen extremely well in flight. Also 4 Cuckoo, 2 Tree Pipits and 4 Lesser Redpolls. It was interesting to note one Cuckoo was still singing when the light had completely gone.
