| Five! I noticed a group of egrets flying onto the sand and felt they looked a bit odd. I first noticed the yellow beaks, their size, dwarfing a nearby Curlew and then their long dark legs when they took off and flew onto Pembrey Marsh, out of sight behind the dunes. In the breeze their long necks looked very ungainly. Peregrine looked a brown juv. Meds flew out of a very big gull gathering. |

| Male, found whilst birding with Canadian birder Carl Hughes. It was with Teal, Wigeon & Pintail downriver from the Quay. Then joined by Bernie Beck and we were able to confirm it was fully-winged and un-ringed. It flew up to the railway bridge and then back downriver again before swimming out of view on falling tide. Seen for only 30 minutes. |
