Crows calling hysterically made me look up, just in time to see a large female goshawk following a carrion crow which was caught in flight. The size difference between the gos and crow was significant. The gos landed nearby but was obscured by rushes etc. More crows (x6) and two magpies appeared and started calling loudly; a kite also came to investigate. Seen in the fen pasture area at the S of the `Ffrwd triangle` near the bridge by the ex-Butchers PH. |
