At least as many Manx as yesterday. There were 640 in the 15 minutes to 5.50 and 1051 by 6.00. Thereafter the movement intensified and the Shearwaters formed feeding groups, including a huge swirl of birds off Burry Holmes and another on the horizon north-west of the Worm. The movement slackened around 7.00, but birds were still moving south when I left. Similar numbers of Scoter, Gannet and Sandwich Tern to yesterday. Harbour Porpoises off shore. |
