Four ravens on rocks, so decided to go over and see why when 11 flew out of a sink hole that contained a sheep carcass. One buzzard flew out of it as well. Two adult red kites, separate to Colin’s sighting. 12 swallows flew over my head going north – someone needs to tell them they’re going the wrong way! The remaining were a swirling flock generally heading south west around the Carn Fadog area – the count is not accurate. Also seen, 1 fox, 5 small tortiseshell butterflies (Garreg Las) and 1 Red Admiral (between Garreg Las and Foel Fraith). Some meadow pipits in groups. |
