Chiffchaff 2 |
| |
After hearing a single chiffchaff from my garden at the E edge of Stradey Woods yesterday, I made a quick visit to see if there were more. The sun breaking from thin cloud seemingly – as happened yesterday near Burry Port – prompted one to sing and it was answered by another. Also a male brimstone butterfly and a bee-fly, in a sheltered sunny hollow, (both personal firsts for 2024). The bee-fly is like a mini-hummingbird, nectaring from flowers with its long proboscis – look and you will be likely to spot them! |
