| A bird that has been `trained` to elicit food for c the last 4 years or so has returned for this winter. This bird sits always in a particular spot on a neighbour`s roof and when I hold some food in a particular way it flies to near the spot where it knows I will put it, ready to scoop it up before any competition, esp herring gulls that are often circling this particular suburban area. Nice to see it return, but more work for me to keep it fed at c.8-9.00am every morning, after which it leaves for the day. |
