A common resident breeder, nesting throughout the county on farmland and the outskirts of built-up areas.

10 together were observed at Pwllau, Taliaris on 14th February. At Bishop’s Palace on 2nd April. 6 were seen in one tree, snapping off twigs.

In the Pinged area, 20 territories were noted.
The only records received were counts of 21 at both Rhosmaen on 14th August and Machynys Pond on 12th October.
About 5 pairs bred on the Gwenffrwd/Dinas Reserve. A roost of 25 was noted at Taliaris on 17th February.
A group of 19 were observed at Cwmllwyd, Gwynfe on 24th February.
25 near Dryslwyn Service Station on 24th January. Soon after, on 3rd February, 14 together near Gelli Deg, Taliaris. On 11th, 16 in one tree at Abergwili.
Bancyffordd, 20th February and 11 near Burry Port on 15th April. Present all year at Pwllau, Taliaris ‘…15 in a noisy dispute on 1/2…’.
Up to 25 roosting at Pwll in December.
