A widespread but localised summer visitor usually breeding in small colonies. Passage is noted through the county but with no major gatherings.

First, upper Lliedi Reservoir and Cloigyn, 13 April 50+, Llandeilo, 9 October, young heard calling from nest there 18 October.

First, 2, Pembrey Forest, 24 April last, Llandeilo, 20 October, 100+, there 28 July. Pair nested 1984-86 inside the entrance of a disused coal drift mine, near Llannon; c80, Rhandirmwyn, 16 August.

First arrival, Llannon, 3 April main arrival 12/13th, last 2, Llangennech, 27 October. 51 pairs nested at one house, Llangynog. flocks c400, Llangadog, c300, Rhandirmwyn, late August early September.

First arrival, Banc-y-Lord 13 March, an early record.

The first arrival was 1 over Llwynhendy on 12th March, an early date. The only breeding count received was of 31 nests at Cwrt y Cadno Chapel.

The first arrival was 1 over Burry Port on 21st April, with the last birds of the autumn being at Nevill’s Dock, Llanelli on 18th September.

The first spring record was of 2 at Lliedi Reservoir on 10th April, with the last autumn record being 1 at Sandy Water Park on 12th October.

Twenty four nests were counted at Cwrt y Cadno Chapel (31 in 1992).

The first spring record was of 4 at Llansteffan on 4th April A large influx was on noted 19th with a flock of c120 at Tywyn Point.

The only breeding record received was of a colony of 50 at Dryslwyn.

The last record of the year was of 6 at Burry Port on 12th October.

The first spring record was of 1 at Penclacwydd on 8th April and the last autumn record was of 1 at Burry Port on 6th October.

The first spring record was at Penclacwydd on 10th April and the last at the same site on 14th October.

The first and last records were noted at Penclacwydd on 12th April and 23rd October.

An individual seen at Penclacwydd on 31st March was the earliest noted this was soon followed by a large early influx of 50 birds in the Sawdde Valley near Cefn-y-Coed, Llangadog on 6th April. The last departing bird was at Gwynfe on 10th October.

The first record was at Penclacwydd on the early date of 11th March.

Pendacwydd provided the first record, of 1 on 26th March. The last to go at the same place was on 25th September. But 1 inland, at Pwllau, Taliaris was the last of all, on 8th October. Maximums at Penclacwydd were 90 in May, 70 in July and 45 in August.

Penclacwydd provided the first record, of 1 on 25th March. Almost a month later, on 21st April, a second drew attention at Ammanford. The following day, 2 hailed from Dryslwyn (Migration Watch). 100+ were low over Sandy Water Park in murky weather. Pre-Migration gatherings of 300+ on 16th September at Dinefwr Ponds and 100 on 17th at Ffosddu were noted. Last to go: 2 at Abergorlech on 16th October.
Last at Penclacwydd was on 21st October.

Seen at Rhydcymerau and Ffosddu on 16th April. 2 at St Clears on 17th. At Pwllau, Taliaris not until 29th. Autumn gatherings, of 100+ and c500 on visible migration down the Towy Valley from Dinefwr Park, on 20th and 22nd August. Last seen, at Pwllau, Taliaris on 22nd September and Rhydcymerau on 3rd October.

First at Penclacwydd on 21st April, maximum of 45 in June.

Laugharne February 8th was unusually early. 28 Neville’s Dock, Llanelli May 21st.

8 Newcastle Emlyn March 28th and 50 active nests on the Water Board building at Llyn-y-Fan Fach May 9th.

The earliest was May 1st Taliaris but an impressive 300 at Coed Bach May 22nd.

The earliest arrival was at Penclacwydd March 14th. Colonies reported from 4 sites.
