Scarce resident on the Gwenffrwd/Dinas Reserve with less than 6 pairs.

1996
Only 3 pairs bred on the Gwenffrwd/Dinas Reserve (cf 6 in 1995).

2002
One observer noted 6 on 3rd April and informed Garden Watch.

2003
Like the Wren, Bancyffordd had 3 on 20th February 2 near Burry Port on 15th April. l adult, 1 juvenile at Pembrey on 6th July.

2004
98 males singing at 39 sites in the breeding season.

2006
12 breeding territories were located at the Gwenffrwd/Dinas Reserve. 5 birds were singing in 1km square at Garth near Ammanford May 11th.
