1, Blaen-Wysg (Usk) Reservoir, October-end December.
1, first seen October 1983, Blaen Wysg (Usk) Reservoir (joint county) overwintered, last seen, 17 March, when in fsp.
3, off Cefn Sidan, 17 February. Largest total seen in the county.
3, River Tywi, below Llanarthne, 21 January.
1 Gwendraeth estuary, 27 October.
There were 3 records of single birds at Penclacwydd from 25th August – 6th September, Penrhyngwyn Pond on 22nd October and Sandy Water Park on 6th November. These records, which possibly relate to the same individual were the first since 1991.
The only records were of 1 off Penclacwydd on 12th and 17th February.
At Machynys there was 1 on 28th January. The first ever record from Penclacwydd was on 29th January. The second record here, again of a single bird, followed soon after, involving the dales 22nd to 29th March.
One interesting record only this year, of a juvenile at Penrhyngwyn Pond on 28th August.
Tywi Estuary March 27th
Ashpits Pond October 6th – November 12th and Sandy Water Park, Llanelli November 6th-12th 1st. These were considered different birds by the observers.
Single Penclacwydd March 11th.
Sandy Water Park October 6th — 13th and possibly the same bird at the Witchett Pool, Pendine October 14th.
