A Bird Club update
It’s been several months since the coronavirus terminated our meeting program for 2020. With that in mind an update is long overdue.
It’s the time to renew subscriptions to the club. Despite the lack of meetings there are ongoing costs such as the bird report, web hosting for the website and projects to support. Renewing your subscription can be done in a number of ways:
- By PayPal using a card and the link on the website. (no Paypal account required)
- Cheques payable to Carmarthenshire Bird Club, follow membership link on the website
- By direct payment to the bird club account using internet banking:
Sort code 30-95-12, Account No 00427784
Bird club members may be interested in the following Carmarthenshire county council consultation which aims to engage more people with the natural world of the county.

The bird club has also agreed to support a project by Paul Aubrey to run a bird feeding station at Llyn Llech Owain – we hope visitors to the site will become more aware and interested in the birdlife of our area.
It may be that a return to normality after Christmas is in sight – I certainly hope so. In that case we will organize an indoor meeting which will be our postponed AGM with a talk, raffle and tea!
Before then it seems like a good idea to repeat our socially distanced outdoor meeting at Kidwelly Quay again – I suggest Saturday 19th December starting at 9.30, weather permitting.
Finally – keep recording your sightings on the website – stay safe and enjoy good birding.
