A visit to Garreg Lwyd this morning with Jeff Slocombe, Tim Collier and Dave ? hoping for Dotterel. No luck here but we met Alun Hughes (Llanharry) who had seen a single bird before we arrived, it having been spooked by a Fox. It flew off into the fastness of Mynydd Du. Also checked Garreg Las and Godre Garreg Las but no Dotterel seen. A cock Ring Ouzel was singing at the headwaters of the Afon Clydach with a hunting male Hen Harrier seen off the Mynydd Du road towards Brynaman. |
